Overview
A rapidly growing VR studio needed a polished, responsive website to market its flagship product and capitalize on a press opportunity. The goal was to showcase their visuals and the immersive experience they offered, while giving visitors clear pathways to the company’s products on the Google Play store.
My Role
This was a full-stack design and project management engagement, covering the end-to-end lifecycle from strategy through launch:
- UX Design — User flows, wireframes, and information architecture
- Interaction Design — Defining how users navigate and engage with the site
- Visual Design — UI mockups and high-fidelity designs built from existing client assets
- Project Management — Coordinating with stakeholders and directing offshore developers
- Front-end Development — HTML, CSS edits and content implementation during development
Process
Discovery & Information Architecture
I worked closely with the stakeholders to understand their audience and goals, then used those insights to map out the site’s information architecture. User flows and wireframes were used to iterate quickly on the structure before committing to visual design, keeping feedback cycles short and low-cost.
Visual Design
With the architecture validated, I moved into high-fidelity UI mockups in Adobe XD, using the client’s existing brand assets to build a visual identity for the site that felt native to their product. The design prioritized the VR experience itself — large visuals, immersive imagery, and a clear call-to-action path toward the Google Play store.
Development & Launch
To meet the client’s requirement for future content independence, I implemented the site on WordPress — giving the team full control over updates without needing a developer. During the build phase I directed offshore developers and made direct HTML, CSS, and content edits where needed to keep the implementation true to the design. Before launch, I trained the client on the backend administration so they could confidently manage content going forward.
