Project Overview
This locally owned restaurant was going through a re-brand and required a refreshed look and new features for its web presence.
Role
- UX Design
- Interaction Design
- Visual Design
- Information Architecture
- Project Management
- Front-end Development
Scope
It was essential to the client that they be able to manage future content updates. However, they were unhappy with the administration tools for their existing Joomla site. To facilitate this requirement, I implemented a WordPress content management system.
I worked with the stakeholders to devise an appropriate user experience using user flows, wireframes, and UI mockups to iterate over the solution for the information architecture. I iterated over several design phases to arrive at an agreed-upon solution. I perform the final visual design of the UI controls and image assets.
During the development phase, I directed the off-shore development team and made design edits to the HTML, CSS, and content where needed. Before launch, I performed quality control and testing, directing the developers on any required revisions. I trained the client on the backend administration and instructed them on how to make further content edits. I also supported the client in managing and creating content and design updates as required.
